Amanda Frost is a multi-media artist based in Spokane Washington, who primarily works in charcoal, clay work and printmaking. She received an AFA degree from Spokane Falls Community College and her BFA degree at Eastern Washington University. While exploring her preferred mediums in depth and combining them, she challenges the viewer to look beyond the curtain of their own interpretations. By combining all three mediums into one to apply 2D drawings and carvings into 3D forms in either functional or sculptural, to evoke an emotional reaction from the viewer. Whether it is a single medium being used or a combination of them, Amanda invites the viewer to look at the gestures and textures of the work to invoke a narrative in their head.
